Welcome

I’m so glad you’re here.

This space was created for readers, creators, curious thinkers — and anyone who has ever paused long enough to ask, what if?

Asking that question is a lifelong personal habit of mine, and probably an irritating one to those that know me well!

First, it led to reinventing myself — drawn towards the new and different — the joy of experience. I fully admit that If it were considered an artform, I’d claim it as my favorite genre.

But then I discovered writing, and that provided a freedom to take that exploration to an entirely different level.

Stories have a way of opening doors.

Some lead to fractured realms and awakened consciousness. Some lead to dragons bound by love. Some lead to women rebuilding their lives from the inside out.

But at the heart of everything I write lives one quiet question:

Who do we become when our perception shifts?

That question grew into an interconnected universe known as The Consciousness Chronicles — stories that span technological awakenings, mystical divides, and deeply human journeys of resilience.

Each book stands on its own.
But if you linger, you may begin to notice threads — characters crossing realms, timelines bending, choices echoing.

That’s by design.

Because life feels that way too.

When I’m not writing, creativity simply takes another form —

  • wool painting, watercolor, graphite, acrylic, oil.
  • writing custom software where each puzzle feels like a plot.
  • music, once pursued with fierce joy, still humming beneath it all.

It’s all storytelling.

I’m grateful to work alongside extraordinary artists through Camden Art Shoppes in South Carolina — a place where creativity is encouraged, nurtured, and shared. If you’re nearby and longing to explore something new, you would be warmly welcomed there as well.

Helping authors bring their ideas to life is another quiet joy. Sometimes all it takes is a conversation to move from “someday” to “begin.”

And at home, beneath tall pines, the cats of Woodland Way Cat Sanctuary remind me daily that healing is gentle work — and that love often looks like patience.

As you can see, there isn’t an easy answer to the question, “What do you do?”

Maybe “perpetual student” fits best — because I’m not done yet.

Every story is a doorway.

And if you’re here, perhaps you’re already standing at one too.

If you feel like connecting — or have a burning “what if” question of your own — I’d love to hear from you.

Wishing you love and light,
Yvonne DeBandi
